Pam Hanson, Volunteer Coordinator

Pam joined Rice County Habitat for Humanity during the 2009 summer build season as a VISTA. AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965 and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 40 years. Each VISTA member makes a year long, full-time commitment to serve on the specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency.

Pam lives in Faribault with her 3 school age kids Liz, Nathan and Katherine. She is an active member o the Northfield United Methodist Church and was a teacher before coming to Habitat for Humanity. In her rare moments of spare time she enjoys shopping, spending time with family and cooking, with the constant companionship of her Yorkie, Lola.
